Mao Mao the Communist Kitty

We are looking for a new home for our cat, Molly. She is a great cat and we all love her very much. This decision, as difficult as it is to make, is due to two "quality of life" issues. Geo's allergy has gotten increasingly worse and Molly has become fond of the outdoors. This has worked well for us but we're packing up, again, and moving to a townhouse in Old Forge at the end of June. They have agreed to allow us to keep her but she will be restricted from going outside. Right now she eats in the morning and then asks to go out for most of the day. She returns at dusk and sleeps in the house.

We adopted her from the ASPCA in Chester County 2 years ago. She is neutered and declawed. She has had all of her initial immunizations (ironic, since we don't immunize our kids, huh?). She has a microchip (required by the SPCA) but it hasn't been registered. I can provide all her records and the info on how to register her chip (I think they said it cost $20).

She really is sweet and Sophia is going to be heartbroken, but this move is going to require that Molly remain indoors, which isn't good for her or George.

If you are interested in opening your heart (and home) to our Mao Mao or know of a responsible friend that would, please let me know. I'm happy to provide you with her food, storage container, cat bed, litter, litter box, some treats and her cat carrier. I'll even throw in free in-state transportation.
